RESOURCES
Welcome to SFCIPP's resource page!
Here you will find guides, handbooks, films, reports, curricula and more – resources that will help you navigate the experiences of parental incarceration, whether you are a child of an incarcerated parent, a currently or formerly incarcerated parent, a family member, a caregiver, a professional whose work calls on you to help or simply a concerned member of the community. You will find a lot of material here, but our list of resources is not comprehensive. If you have developed a new resource, or would like to suggest we add an existing one, please send us a link at sfcipp.info@gmail.com.
We have organized the materials by audience. The same resources may appear in multiple sections.
THE CHILDREN OF INCARCERATED PARENTS BILL OF RIGHTS
is our most popular resource.
It is available as a free downloadable pdf in English or Spanish,
purchasable as a hardcopy, and on a DVD.
The order form can be filled out here.
THE SFCIPP TEN-YEAR REPORT
The SFCIPP Ten Year Review Report originated from an idea by SFCIPP to try to document the history, journey and some of the accomplishments of SFCIPP since its origins. The report attempts to do just this by giving a background on how it all started, providing an overview of the development of the Children of Incarcerated Parents Bill of Rights (BOR) as a guiding platform, presenting a timeline of event, providing an overview of the diversity of many of the important projects that have evolved as a result of this collaborative effort, and providing future recommendations. The report does not intend to be an all inclusive description of all of the efforts happening by and on behalf children of incarcerated parents in San Francisco during this time period. We realize that there have been many many other equally important events, policies, programs, etc. that the partners of SFCIPP have been involved in over the years. We hope that this report can serve as a tool to help SFCIPP partners to educate others on the work we do, to support other jurisdictions who are looking to learn from and/or replicate some of our efforts and to help guide us as we look toward future efforts together.
